This project was published as a 175-page book (including photographs and text) for my MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at LCC London, where it received
a Distinction.
When, in 2009, my ex husband, Odysseas Voudouris, decides to stand as a candidate member of parliament in the national elections of that year, I find myself in a difficult situation.
On the one hand, I think that he should devote more time to his family instead of occupying himself with new things. On the other hand, I am conscious that this decision is consistent with his life and his social activity.
Odysseas is already away from home far too many hours and he has got too many things in his
mind. Having as my first priority the raising of my family and not my professional career, nevertheless, I often feel alone and divided between the two.
To cope with this situation, instead of remaining aloof, I decide to get involved in a creative way.
I take snap shots of aspects of those day to day developments.
